Excelacom's previous site did not reflect the level of experience, competence, and professionalism that defines who they are. It was difficult to understand the company’s core functions from the site’s content, which was confusing and out of date.
We teamed with our sister company, the Pinkston Group public relations firm, and walked through a strategic discovery process with the Excelacom marketing team and key stakeholders. Our discovery included discussions on high-level business objectives, long-term goals, and what differentiates Excelacom. In addition, we conducted a competitive analysis and analytics review of the existing website.

The Pinkston Group, working in close collaboration with the Excelacom marketing team and key leadership, developed updated messaging that clearly articulated who Excelacom is, what they do, and what sets them apart in the marketplace. They also prepared messaging specifically targeting different markets and industries, as well as messaging surrounding each key offering (products, consulting, and professional services).
While competing companies primarily position themselves as consulting firms, product developers, or professional service providers, what makes Excelacom unique is the combination of all three elements, custom-tailored for individual clients. We worked with Excelacom marketing to design a graphic that visualizes this differentiator, which has become a cornerstone of the Excelacom brand.
Working to more succinctly define Excelacom’ core offering, we arrived at the tagline, “Conquer Complexity. Unleash Opportunity.”
We also made adjustments to Excelacom’s previous logo that helped to tie the branding together.
We developed a custom implementation of the Craft content management system for the Excelacom website, allowing site editors to easily work with nearly all of the content on the site.
Our team collaborated with the Pinkston Group video production team to produce a short, scripted recruiting video, that introduces to the challenges, benefits, and opportunities of working at Excelacom.
